Let’s understand the problem
Sound familiar?
- Fresh-food compartment feels warmer than usual
- Freezer performance has changed
- Water collects under or inside the refrigerator
- Ice maker stops producing ice or makes inconsistent batches
A closer look comes first.
A cooling problem can involve airflow, controls, a door seal or another component. The symptoms alone do not identify the repair. Tell us what you have noticed so we can assess the appliance and explain the available next steps. Built-in models, ice makers and sealed-system concerns need to be reviewed for the specific brand and model before service is confirmed.
Before your visit
- Have the brand and model number ready if you can find them without moving the appliance.
- Note when the problem began and whether both compartments are affected.
- Clear a path to the refrigerator and tell us if it is built into cabinetry.
No need to move or take apart your appliance before requesting service. If using it appears unsafe, stop using it and seek appropriate help.

A few useful answers
Should I move the refrigerator before the visit?
Please leave it in place. Clear the surrounding floor and tell us about tight access, cabinetry or flooring that needs particular care. We will discuss any access requirements with you.
Can I request help with just the ice maker?
Yes. Select refrigerator repair and describe the ice-maker issue. Include the refrigerator model and whether you have also noticed a cooling or water-dispenser problem.
